Use this when
- You want to extract many contacts from LinkedIn search results
- You are on a People search page with multiple pages of results
- You need to build a prospect list quickly without clicking Next manually
How to use it
- Go to LinkedIn and run a People search. Example: "Sales Manager" in Mumbai.
- Make sure you are on the People tab of search results.
- Open the extension and click Start Auto-Paginator.
- The extension automatically scrolls, extracts contacts, and clicks Next through all pages.
- When it stops, click Download CSV to get your list.
Note: Auto-Paginator extracts Name, Title, and Company only. It works on all search results regardless of connection level. For phone and email, use the Contact Info feature after connecting.
Use this when
- You want to extract contacts from just the current page without auto-scrolling
- You are on a single profile page and want to save that person's details
- You want to add a contact to your existing list manually
How to use it
- Navigate to any LinkedIn People search page or individual profile.
- Open the extension and click Scan Current Page.
- The extension extracts all visible contacts from the current page only.
- Click Download CSV when ready.
Tip: Scan Current Page is also used to save contact info after opening the Contact Info overlay. See the Contact Info workflow below.
Use this when
- You want to capture a person's phone number or email address
- The person is a 1st-level connection (already connected with you on LinkedIn)
- You want to enrich an existing contact in your list with their contact details
How to use it
- Go to the person's LinkedIn profile page.
- Click "Contact info" on their profile. This opens their contact details overlay.
- While the Contact info overlay is open, open the extension and click Scan Current Page.
- The extension captures their phone, email, and website along with their profile data.
- Download CSV. The new columns Phone, Email, Website, and LinkedIn URL will be populated.
Important: This only works for 1st-level connections. LinkedIn does not show phone or email for 2nd or 3rd level connections regardless of what tool you use. This is a LinkedIn restriction, not a product limitation.
Pro tip: Run Auto-Paginator first to build your prospect list. Then connect with the people you want to reach. Once they accept, visit their profiles and use Contact Info + Scan to capture their phone and email.
Have a lot of connections to enrich? Doing this one profile at a time doesn't scale. See Extract Contact Info (Batch) below for the automated version.
Use this when
- You want phone and email for many 1st-level connections at once, without opening each profile yourself
- You have a large connections list you want to enrich in bulk
How to use it
- Go to your LinkedIn Connections page (linkedin.com/mynetwork/invite-connect/connections/) to extract from your entire connections list โ or, to target a specific group instead (e.g. Database Administrators in a certain city), run a filtered People Search scoped to 1st-degree connections only and use that instead. See "Can I target a specific group instead of my entire connections list?" below for how to set that up. The button only appears on one of these two pages, because it needs a list of confirmed 1st-degree connections to work through.
- Open the extension and click Extract Contact Info.
- Read and confirm the warning that appears. This feature visits each connection's profile automatically and takes real time โ a run stops on its own after 30 minutes. Keep the LinkedIn tab open and don't use it while a run is in progress.
- The extension runs for up to 30 minutes, then stops on its own and asks whether you want to continue or stop there โ however many connections it reached in that time is what you get. It never keeps running unattended past the time limit โ that decision is always yours.
- Download CSV at any point โ anything captured so far is already saved, even mid-run.
Why it stops every 30 minutes: This is by design, not a bug or a limit we ran out of. It keeps a human in the loop for a long-running automated process instead of letting it run indefinitely unattended.
Some connections will come back with no phone/email โ that's expected: LinkedIn only stores contact info for connections who've chosen to add it themselves. After each run, the extension tells you how many of the visited connections actually had contact info on file. A low percentage means most of them haven't added it โ it doesn't mean the extraction failed.
Account risk โ please read before using this feature: automating interaction with LinkedIn, even with the pacing and delays built into this feature, carries an inherent risk that LinkedIn may restrict, flag, or suspend your account. This risk exists even when the feature is used exactly as intended, and is not something Vijit Labs can eliminate or guarantee against. This is not covered by our refund policy. Please read our
Terms of Service before using this feature.
What to do if it happens: if LinkedIn shows you a message about unusual activity, or temporarily limits your searches, invitations, or profile views, stop using Auto-Paginator and Extract Contact Info right away and let LinkedIn's own review process run its course. Don't try to work around it โ that raises the risk of a longer or more severe restriction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Phone empty for some contacts even after using Contact Info?
Not everyone shares their phone number on LinkedIn. If a contact has not added a phone number to their profile or has set it to private, it will not appear. This is their choice and cannot be overridden.
The phone number shows as a large number in Excel. How do I fix it?
Select the Phone column in Excel, right-click, choose Format Cells, and select Text. The number will display correctly. From v1.8.5 onwards, phone numbers are formatted to prevent this automatically.
Can I use Contact Info on 2nd or 3rd level connections?
No. LinkedIn only shows phone and email to 1st-level connections. You need to connect with someone first before their contact details become visible.
Do I need to close the Contact Info overlay before clicking Scan?
No. From v1.8.4 onwards, you can click Scan while the Contact Info overlay is still open. The extension reads both the overlay data and the profile data in one step.
Will Auto-Paginator work on LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
Yes, Auto-Paginator works on Sales Navigator search results as well as standard LinkedIn People search.
My CSV has duplicate contacts. How do I avoid this?
SalesScraper Pro automatically deduplicates by name. If you scan the same page twice, the same contact will not appear twice in your list. Click Clear Data before starting a fresh extraction if you want a clean list.
Can my exported CSVs save directly to Google Drive?
Yes โ this is a one-time setup in Chrome, not something SalesScraper Pro needs to handle itself. If you have Google Drive for Desktop installed, it already creates a folder on your computer that syncs automatically to Drive. In Chrome, go to Settings โ Downloads and either set your default download location to a folder inside that Drive-synced folder, or turn on "Ask where to save each file before downloading" so you can pick it each time. Once that's set, every CSV from Extract Contact Info or Auto-Paginator lands in that folder and syncs to Google Drive on its own โ no extra step in the extension.
Why does the feature stop working sometimes after LinkedIn updates?
LinkedIn regularly updates its page structure. When this happens, some features may temporarily stop working. We release a fix within 48 hours of identifying the issue, subject to Chrome Web Store review timelines. Keep your extension updated to always have the latest fixes.
Why did Extract Contact Info stop and ask if I want to continue?
This is intentional. Each run lasts up to 30 minutes, then waits for you to explicitly click Continue if you want to keep going. We built it this way so a batch extraction never keeps running unattended in the background โ you stay in control of how much automation runs against your account, and when.
Is there any risk to my LinkedIn account from using Auto-Paginator or Extract Contact Info?
Yes, and we want to be upfront about it. Both features automate interaction with LinkedIn, and any automated use of LinkedIn โ regardless of how carefully it's paced โ carries some inherent risk that LinkedIn may restrict, flag, or suspend your account. We've built in delays, scroll and click behaviour designed to resemble normal usage, and session breaks specifically to reduce this risk, but we cannot eliminate it or guarantee against it, because it ultimately depends on LinkedIn's own detection systems. Please read our
Terms of Service before using these features โ this risk is not covered by our refund policy.
What should I do if LinkedIn shows a warning about unusual activity?
Stop using Auto-Paginator and Extract Contact Info immediately and don't try to work around the message. This usually appears as a temporary restriction on searches, invitations, or profile views rather than a permanent ban, and typically clears on its own once LinkedIn's review process runs its course. Continuing to use automation features after a warning increases the risk of a longer or more severe restriction. Following the usage limits in our
Recommended Usage Guidelines reduces how often this happens, but cannot eliminate the risk โ see
Terms of Service, Section 3a.
How long can I wait before clicking Continue after a session pauses?
As long as you need. Your progress is saved permanently in the browser, not held in memory, so it survives closing the popup, closing the browser, or restarting your computer. Clicking Continue just picks up from where you stopped, however long ago that was โ there's no time limit. The only way to lose progress is clicking "Clear Data." One thing to check when you come back: if the break was long enough that LinkedIn logged you out of that browser, you'll need to log back in before Continue can resume.
"Contacts Found" doesn't match the X/Y count I saw during the run โ is something wrong?
No, these are two different counts and they're not supposed to always match. The X/Y counter shown during a run tracks how many connections' profiles were checked. "Contacts Found" tracks how many were actually saved to your list. They can differ because Extract Contact Info double-checks every profile before saving it: if LinkedIn's own profile page doesn't confirm someone as a genuine 1st-degree connection, that profile is skipped and not saved โ even though it still counted toward the X/Y total, since it was still checked. This is a safety feature, not an error: it exists to make sure a 2nd or 3rd-degree connection never accidentally ends up in your CSV. The summary shown after each run tells you exactly how many were skipped this way and why.
Can I target a specific group instead of my entire connections list?
Yes. Instead of running Extract Contact Info from your full Connections page, run it from a filtered LinkedIn People Search to target just the group you want โ for example, connections who are Database Administrators, or based in a specific city or industry. Use LinkedIn's own search filters (the filter bar above your search results: Locations, Current companies, Industry, School, and the keyword search box) to narrow down the group, and make sure the connections filter is set to "1st" only, not "2nd," "3rd+," or "All." That's a requirement, not just a suggestion โ Extract Contact Info only works when a search is scoped to 1st-degree connections, because that's the only group LinkedIn shares phone and email with. You can combine as many filters as you like โ location, company, keyword, and connection degree together โ the more specific your search, the smaller and more targeted your result set will be. Build your search using LinkedIn's own filter menus rather than editing the web address by hand; the filters generate the correct address for you, and a hand-edited one risks accidentally including connections beyond the 1st degree, which the extension would then reject. If you want to double-check, the web address after applying filters should contain network=%5B%22F%22%5D โ that confirms it's correctly scoped to 1st-degree only.
